loaves and fishes

So they all ate and were filled, and they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments that remained. Matthew 14:20 NKJV

WHAT DO FIVE LOAVES, two fish, and a cruse of oil have to do with love? Supply. Inexhaustible supply. Love cannot be emptied of itself any more than God could cease to exist. It's the way of the infinite and the timeless. Think of fingerprints, snowflakes, and the unrepeatable YOU. God never gets bored. There's too many of us.

In Christ, my supply, my plenty, Amen

Benediction:

May you live a life as God designed it, a life that makes sacred the humblest portions of it, a life in ascent, set apart, a Christ-sufficient life, sealed in divinity, selfless, yielded, broken, even as redeemers and healers are broken, a life lived in love, as if heaven, eternity wide and timeless deep, yet as close, familiar and unnoticed as your next breath, is in endless pursuit of all your hours.

Note: The above devotion was taken from TO LOVE IS CHRIST (Nelson 2005), a devotional by David Teems. David is a modern day Oswald Chambers (without the excess weight). His devotional has ministered to me greatly, and continues to daily. David is married to my sister, Benita.

If we truly apply the Word of God and His great love for us to our every moment of living, we WILL know joy. In His presence is fullness of joy. Our wonderful Heavenly Father delights to bless His children. You will only experience it when you consistently live it, so . . . LIVE THE MOMENT . . . in Him.
